Privacy policy
Short version: we collect nothing. For the details, read on.
Cookies
This site uses no cookies whatsoever — no technical cookies, no profiling cookies, no third-party cookies. The only data stored in your browser is your light/dark theme preference, which is saved via localStorage (not a cookie, and it never leaves your device).
Analytics
To understand how many people visit the site and which pages are most useful, we use GoatCounter, an open-source analytics tool hosted on our own server. GoatCounter uses no cookies, does not collect IP addresses, creates no user profiles, and shares no data with anyone. The only information recorded is: which page was visited, which site the visitor came from (referrer), the browser type, and a rough estimate of the country. None of this information — individually or combined — can identify you.
Personal data
We collect no personal data. There are no registration forms, newsletters, comment sections, or member areas. Search works entirely in your browser: whatever you type is never sent to any server.
Blog search
If you activate the "Search the blog" feature, your query is sent to the public WordPress API at blog.lealternative.net to retrieve results. This is the only case in which an action of yours generates a request to an external server — though it is still always our own server.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Statichost.eu, a European static hosting service. Analytics are hosted on a Hetzner server in Europe. Both providers are subject to the GDPR.
